Mandy cherished a good life. She adored designer clothes, Coach handbags, and getaways with the girls on the weekends. Her children had everything they needed, and she received a completely renovated kitchen and terrace. She set very high standards for herself in order to stay up with her peers. However, her tastes in champagne on a beer budget were not aligned with her husband’s income.
Gabe, her spouse, disagreed with her attempt to stay up with others. He enjoyed living in a smaller home that they could afford because he was raised in a thrifty household. However, his fussy wife desired a larger, more ostentatious house and way of life.
Her lack of employment and lack of effort to find one was the sole issue. She simply assumed that her spouse would take care of everything and that debt would cover the gaps.
Her spouse would frequently receive remarks to the effect that “he was a lucky man” and that his spouse was attractive. They had no idea that Mandy had an extravagant monthly budget for treating herself. Mandy’s secret to looking attractive was getting regular massages, facials, mani/pedis, new clothes, makeup, a gym trainer, and Whole Foods. Although she didn’t really require Botox at 39, she still occasionally had it done.
Makeup and filters have the power to dramatically transform an ordinary lady — which is exactly what Mandy was — into a “hot” woman, as anyone who uses Tik tok will attest. Generally speaking, she was simple.
Gabe enjoyed having his friends and family envious of his “hot” wife. She was a pain in the ass financially, but he enjoyed being looked up to and envied by people. It was really depressing to learn that his wife’s reputation was how other people saw him. However, Gabe is the kind of person he is.
However, all of this preening and pampering resulted in serious financial issues. Not long after they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, the indicators began to appear.
GoBankingRates claims that until some of these seven financial indicators began to appear, there was no real “aha” moment.
If even one of the seven describes you, take serious action as they all point to immediate and perhaps disastrous financial trouble:
